Guess who visited A-1 during the off season?

Last updated 3 years ago

If you guessed NFL football player Julian Edelman, you'd be right.

Earlier in the year, Frank Edelman (Julian's father) was intervied by ESPN's Jackie MacMullan. "I was very athletic without any coaching at all," Frank explained. "I figured if my kids had a little help, maybe it would get them over the hump." Often the road toward that kind of work ethic would lead to sport after sport and nonstop intense training. "No more!" his mother Angie protested. "We're on vacation!"

The work paid off for Julian after a breakout season. He tested the free agent market and even made it home to meet with the 49ers. But ultimately Julian signed with the Patriots. Here's what he had to say to ESPN's Field Yates - "You know, I got home to see the Niners, and I grew up a huge Niners fan. But being in New England the last five years, that's just home. I mean, that's just home for me right now..."

PS Yes, Chris @ Skippyc the family does own an auto shop. Thanks for the inquiry. Frank brings that same work ethic to everything we do at A-1 Auto Tech, Inc. He's often the first one here and the last one to leave. That's becasue with a "...little help, maybe we can get [you and your car] over the hump."
